FlowPaw at the National STEM centre Pi Jam/Hackathon
FlowPaw was one of the main features at the Raspberry Pi Jam/Hackathon at the National STEM center in York on Saturday. Carl Owen CEO of DSPRobotics did a 'Big Talk' on FlowPaw & FlowStone in the main lecture theater as well as demoing FlowPaw connected to FlowStone and the Raspberry Pi in the demo area.
It was a very busy day with hundreds of people in attendance and FlowPaw was a big hit with people literally queuing all day to get a closer look!
We had the new FlowPaw Bluetooth wireless Rover whizzing around he floor avoiding obstacles controlled from FlowStone, FlowPaw controlling an robot Arm from LynxMotion via Raspberry Pi using a Python Script. A cool Pan-Tilt Webcam controlled via the servo outs with the webcam video displayed in FlowStone, even a software musical synthesizer controlled from the proximity and accelerometer sensors and a DMX disco light!
People were amazed how easy it was to program in FlowStone!

New Low cost USB Hardware for FlowStone
We have added some open source examples for the new PIC Clicker board from MikroElektonika!
PIC Clicker only $19 USD!
This USB HID programmable board has a 'mikro Bus' socket for any of the 70+ Click interface boards.
We have created various example projects including FlowStone projects .hex firmware files as well as the source code in C++ for the board.
These can be found here:
IR Temp sensor
7 Segment Display
3 Axis Accelerometer
Relay Board
RS485 to DMX 512 (disco light protocol)
Each has a FlowStone example similar to this:
There is also an example that turns the bare board into a FlowBoard mini DAQ!
The PIC Clicker and Click boards are available from MikroElektonika HERE or RS Components now Stock these HERE

DSPRobotics Launch FlowStone V3.04 (BLUEBIRD)
Today DSPRobotics launched FlowStone V3.04! Some of the highlights include a new DLL system allowing you to make your own components using external dlls! This means you can integrate your own high speed code written in C for example, yet keep it private, effectively making a plugin for FlowStone.
There is also a new feature for education allowing you to make limited tool boxes for lesson planning so the tool box will only contain the components needed for that particular project.
FlowStone is available with 12 months updates for $249.00 or $149.00 without updates.
